No sooner had I started the blog about being a broke filmmaker had I found Indy Mogul. Oh glorious Film Gods, you have once again gave me something to look forward to! You have renewed my inspiration, and given me faith! Well Erik of Indy Mogul did. Ok, I admit it, he's practically my god.
All of the effects can be made with less than 50 dollars, after building a basic makeup kit and tool kit which generally runs a bit more. Also a lot of his shopping comes from thrift stores, which vary from product to product. Some of the projects you just couldn't run out and buy for the price he gives you. The perfect piece may just be a bit more than he quoted. No worries though, as the more expensive projects tend to be for film specific effects and probably not going to be used in our films. Unless of course we do a parody...but that isn't currently on the horizon for us so we'll see.
